Our beauty sleep provides our body time and energy from an exhausting day. Not only that you will be able to be more alert and focused after a good night rest. We spend many hours sleeping, sadly some of us are having trouble getting a good sleep throughout the night.There is a lot that you can do to ensure that you have a peaceful night's slumber. Here are 5 tips that you can use to have a good hibernation. 
Firstly, the clothes we wear do affect our rest. Most people go to bed wearing their normal clothing which might not be comfortable to sleep in. Some suggest to sleep in pyjamas instead. This is because pyjamas are made of soft breathable fabric, such as cotton. 

Secondly, sleeping in a varying positions will also help. These are some guidelines to proper sleeping positions:

  • Keep your body in a "mid-line" position, where both your head and neck are kept roughly straight. This should help you sleep.
  • Avoid sleeping on your stomach. It's difficult to maintain the proper position, and it is more likely to cause aches and pains. If you wish to sleep on your stomach, put your pillow under your hips instead of under your head
Next, use a suitable pillow. Making sure your pillow is neither too thick nor too thin provides a more comfortable sleep. You can also try placing your pillow between your legs, if you sleep on your side. This will give your hips support and give your more comfort. 

Besides that, you can try to reduce the light exposure before going to bed. Bright light can disrupt your body's internal clock. Hence offing the lights in your bedroom will give you a good night's sleep and you will save electricity.

Last but not least, listening to gentle sound or music. Choose a soothing sound or music, especially wind, surf and steam sound. These sounds have no shape. Hence your brain will de-focus right away.
